The remarkable baker

When a young boy loses the power of speech, his desperate father goes from doctor to doctor until the Alter Rebbe sends him to Metz in search of a lumber merchant. The father doesn't ask questions, but they make their way to Metz and eventually meet with a truly remarkable baker.

It’s not too late

When the holy Baal Shem Tov speaks to a stranger, the students think the stranger must be a tzaddik, so they introduce themselves to him later, but far from being a tzaddik, he's an ordinary Jew with an extraordinary lesson to teach the talmidim of the Baal Shem Tov.

The generous host

The holy Baal Shem Tov decides to teach his talmidim about proper hospitality, so they travel to visit a lone Jew in a remote town who also teaches them how precious all mitzvos truly are.

The Black Forest smithy

Avraham is a cloth merchant who is as kind as he is poor- when the Rebbe visits, Avraham's mazel changes, but unfortunately his attention to others changes as well, until the Rebbe shares a valuable lesson.

Reb Shmuel Brun is falsely accused by some crooked employees, and faces a difficult trial, so he follows the advice of the Rebbe Maharash and helps another, thereby meriting Divine assistance in a most amazing way.

The remarkable lambskin

Moshe the Innkeeper is two years behind on his rent and the poretz has threatened to imprison him, but when Moshe visits the holy Baal Shem Tov on his wife's suggestion, the advice he receives makes the poretz very happy indeed and solves all of Moshe's difficulties.

The Shamash of Zlatapolye

Before Reb Aryeh Leib moved to Shpola and became the famous Rebbe "Der Shpoler Zeide", he was a simple traveler who spent time as the Shamash in a town called Zlatapolye, reading the Torah and sounding the Shofar on Rosh Hashanah for the plain, earnest Jews of the town.

When a childless couple finally have a son after the holy Baal Shem Tov gave them a brocho, they guard the boy carefully until he disappears in a moment of carelessness. After the help of Udel, the Baal Shem Tov's daughter who brings a message of hope from her father, and months of searching, the father witnesses an open miracle and is reunited with his beloved son.
